Washington – russian lawyer at trump tower meeting charged in unrelated case

I have been searching the web to find any clear explanation of what this is about. All I find is obfuscation, leading me to suspect this whole thing is political. The web sources only "clear" statement is that she is accused of presenting a Russian-government document to a U.S. court, but without making it explicitly clear that she herself had "helped" in formulating the document in question. That alleged neglect (neglecting to make her alleged participation clear and explicit) is deemed to be obstruction of justice. That is way beyond me. Such an alleged crime sounds esoteric and mystical to me. (That aside from the fact that anyone with any brains would have implicitly understood that as the person who presented the documented she would have had a part.) And if criminal – then how about the FISA warrant that was obtained by the Democrat administration while neglecting to make it explicitly clear to the FISA judge that the Steele document was bought and paid for by the Clinton campaign. (And in that case there is no reason for the judge to implicitly understand that the Clinton campaign paid for it, seeing as it was Federal officers presenting the document.)

Stop drinking the Devin Nunes Kool-aid. To reiterate for the 1000th time, the Steele Dossier was not the basis of the FISA warrants. Papadoupolous’ (aka Coffee-boy) loose lips was the basis. And to reiterate for the 1000th time, while the non-issue investigation of Clinton’s emails was re-announced by the FBI a few days before the election, the much more important FBI investigation of the Trump campaign’s conspiracy with our enemies was never announced. (Score: Clinton – zero indictments, Trump 33 witches hunted, indicted and either convicted or awaiting trial, none found not guilty. Oh, and BTW, the Steele Dossier project was nintiated and moved along by Republicans, not the Clinton campaign.

The undisputed fact as far as what I have seen and heard reported in the "mainstream" news is that, at the very least, the Steele dossier was referenced in the FISA warrant. Even if it was not a "major" part (which it actually was, but leave that aside) simply mentioning it at all without being explicitly clear that it was financed by the Clinton campaign has to be at least as much obstruction of justice and falsification of documents as any alleged omission by this Russian lawyer in the article.

Most of the rest of your comment has nothing to do with my comment and looks like an attempt at distraction. And your final statement "the Steele Dossier project was initiated and moved along by Republicans," is actually false. The *investigation* itself into Trump (and not Steele dossier) was initiated by Republican rivals, but dropped because they found nothing. After being dropped by Republicans it was revived by the Clinton campaign in a form of attack (get Trump no matter what) rather than in the form an honest investigation, and that led to the partisan Steele dossier, not even imagined under the Republicans.

I ran out of space so I continue my rebuttal. Included in the FISA application was reference to "news" article about the alleged Russian meetings. This was clearly meant to imply that the news article had done independent research on the matter. But the fact seems to be that the news article relied on a "leaked" Steele dossier for its source. Base on the allegations against this Russian lawyer, it seems obvious then that omitting the above mentioned fact from the FISA application was clearly an egregious act of obstruction of justice and document falsification.

not a single American has been charged with any type of collusion, with hillary the corrupt comey and lynch decided not to indict her and gave immunity to everyone else even though there was clear evidence that she sent and received classified information which is a criminal offence regardless of intent, liar steele was only hired by fusion gps after The Washington Free Beacon stopped funding oppo research and the dnc and clinton campaign started funding it .
